Case 111 [Action]

[There's a party today in Xanadu! It's the day before Euphie's 18th birthday, and in an effort to avoid any sort of bad curse, Hanna's throwing her party on Sunday.

There are big picnic tables set up with all sorts of snacks and treats. One table is devoted to desserts, especially the big birthday cake. Hanna even managed to pull through and make cookies, despite his overall inability to cook or bake.

There's music, and speakers, and a myriad of decorations, including balloons, paper lanterns, streamers, and confetti. Hanna's spent the good part of the past week planning this party.
The grill is set up, and the present table is ready as well. Hanna himself is lounging in one of the chairs, a large box in his lap. Every so often, the box moves a bit, and Hanna smiles and sticks a finger through the hole in the top of the box.

Yep. Everything is set for one awesome party.]

I, err...don't. Can't.

But I tried really hard to get these right!!

I hope they came out all right! I wasn't sure what exactly to do, so they're just plain old sugar cookeis...

Hanna, I'm sure they are perfect. It was very nice of you. [And that must be them, right? She reaches for one.]

[Hanna smiles expectantly, mentally repeating 'please don't get food poisoning' over and over again in his head.]

[She takes a bite and looks perfectly happy to be eating a perfectly good cookie! She even makes a little "mmm" sound for Hanna's benefit.]

[And at that, Hanna relaxes, letting out a sigh of relief. Thank god, they were edible.]

[She finishes chewing and smiles at him.] Thank you, Hanna. It was almost as sweet as you.

[He just grins at that, blushing slightly.]

I'm glad you like it...

Hey, I think you should open one of your presents!

[He can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees his gift...]

Oh? All right. I could do that. [She is curious. And if he wants to see her open it then that's fine with her.]

[He smiles and nods slightly.]

I know gifts are usually done after cake, but...well, I just really want to see you open this one.

[So he goes and gets the large box with the hole in the top.]

[Noticing the hole, but she doesn't want to embarrass him by saying anything. Yes, she still hasn't figured it out.] Is this one from you?

Uh huh. Sorry about the hole...promise, though, it makes sense.

[He smiles.]

Go on, open it!!

[She takes the box and there is a surprised expression on her face. The balance of weight inside isn't what she was expecting. With one arm carefully holding it, she removes ribbon and paper with the other.]

...Did it just move?

[She blinks at first and theeeeeen it clicks into place and she hurries to open it up.] Tumbles! [Not too loud. She doesn't want to scare him.]

[Hanna grins as Tumbles yips happily, immediately jumping on Euphie and licking her face once he's out of the box.]

[She lets the box fall and holds on to the puppy, giggling.] Hello! I'm happy to see you too. [And a little barking. Just a little.]

[Tumbles is very happy to see you too, Euphie! He barks a little more, wriggling in Euphie's arms.]

Oh, Hanna, are you sure? [Looks over at her friend even as she snuggles tiny, cute, adorable puppy!]
