Case 111 [Action]

[There's a party today in Xanadu! It's the day before Euphie's 18th birthday, and in an effort to avoid any sort of bad curse, Hanna's throwing her party on Sunday.

There are big picnic tables set up with all sorts of snacks and treats. One table is devoted to desserts, especially the big birthday cake. Hanna even managed to pull through and make cookies, despite his overall inability to cook or bake.

There's music, and speakers, and a myriad of decorations, including balloons, paper lanterns, streamers, and confetti. Hanna's spent the good part of the past week planning this party.
The grill is set up, and the present table is ready as well. Hanna himself is lounging in one of the chairs, a large box in his lap. Every so often, the box moves a bit, and Hanna smiles and sticks a finger through the hole in the top of the box.

Yep. Everything is set for one awesome party.]

[ When Flynn arrives, he's carrying a small box. He looks every bit as if he'd prepared for this occasion, but in truth, he'd been going around the city looking for a proper gift just an hour so before.

He hopes Euphemia doesn't notice though. At least, so that he could properly apologize for not having been sufficiently prepared... ]

Flynn! [Oh, yes, you get a hug. And there is a part of her wondering if he knows what happened with Yuri, but why would he know that? Yuri wouldn't just say so, would he? Or maybe he would. And she needs to stop thinking about that!] Thank you for coming.

[ It is a mystery. In any case, Flynn is a kiss and don't tell kind of person. Usually.

So he's likely not going to talk about it if he did know. Besides. today is a celebration. It's hardly the time to be talking about shortcomings made during curses. ]

[ He shakes his head. ]

I should be the one thanking you, Euphie. I'm happy to be here. Happy Birthday.

[ He gives Euphemia his gift. It's wrapped in pink wrapping paper and a white ribbon. ]

[She starts tearing the wrapping paper away. It's more fun if you do it that way instead of daintily. And then opens the box to see the contents.]

[ It's a simple golden hairpin with flower designs and small pink jewels on it. Flynn picked it up from a nearby shop, thinking that it reminded him of Euphemia. ]
