Case 143

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas, everybody! The sun is shining, the weather is warm, the snow is, sadly, gone for now, but knowing what season it is I'm sure it'll be back...and I have presents for all my friends!

And, and as soon as I can get all the puppies to cooperate and sit still for a minute or 2, I'll be able to get perfect holiday pictures for everybody!

So, yeah, presents for people!! Conrad, your gift is under the Christmas tree. Timothy, so is yours, even though you're still in that state of new and confused and stuff.

Everybody else, I'll be on my way out to drop stuff off with you, then I'm going to the graveyard for a bit. Wanna keep the spirits company for a little while. Then I'm going to enjoy this warm weather properly, I heard there's summer stuff set up on the beach, so I am so going to hang there. Everybody should come.

All right, I'm off to do cheery holiday things!! Merry Christmas to all, and to all, watch what you eat. Fruitcakes are not exactly...good, usually.

Case 112

Best. curse. ever.

Okay, yeah, makes getting the kids and Lassie and Iznagi proper water a bit tough...but hey, I've got backup plans for this sort of situation. Never thought I'd actually need them, but here, you can't ever be sure when the City wants to mess with your water.

...Gonna make getting the plants down at the shop watered a bit tough, though...the backup plan of 'craploads of bottled water' can only go so far...ah well. I'll come up with something.

For now, though...I'm just gonna enjoy the curse. Happy Oktoberfest, everybody! Time to celebrate life, the end of the last week of frankly quite terrible curses, fall, and...well, beer!!

Oh, and Euphie? Happy actual birthday. The whole City is throwing a big party today, and I bet part of it is to celebrate your birthday.

Wonder if I can find some good pretzels to go with the beer...beer needs food to go with it...I am so gonna regret this tomorrow...ah well.

Case 111 [Action]

[There's a party today in Xanadu! It's the day before Euphie's 18th birthday, and in an effort to avoid any sort of bad curse, Hanna's throwing her party on Sunday.

There are big picnic tables set up with all sorts of snacks and treats. One table is devoted to desserts, especially the big birthday cake. Hanna even managed to pull through and make cookies, despite his overall inability to cook or bake.

There's music, and speakers, and a myriad of decorations, including balloons, paper lanterns, streamers, and confetti. Hanna's spent the good part of the past week planning this party.
The grill is set up, and the present table is ready as well. Hanna himself is lounging in one of the chairs, a large box in his lap. Every so often, the box moves a bit, and Hanna smiles and sticks a finger through the hole in the top of the box.

Yep. Everything is set for one awesome party.]
