I have some excellent news. As of today, officially, I no longer have a broken foot. I am out of the cast and off of the crutches!! Good as new!

[Showing off, he turns on his camera and wiggles his newly healed foot, grinning and waving.]

Ta daaah!! No more crutches, I am officially back in business, woo!!

[He laughs a bit, grinning some more.]

I tell ya, its a real drag on the whole 'investigating' thing, going around on a crutch. Makes it really easy for people to catch you or hear you coming...ah well, all in the past.

I feel like celebrating, for some reason.

Hey, Mouse, I was wondering. I'm all in a celebrating mood today since I'm off the crutch, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come over and hang out? I've gotten some decorating done so far...

...buuut I don't have a tree yet. Wanna come with me to get a really good one? We can start decorating it after we get one too...

I just wanna make sure you're okay...The curse two days ago...I got really worried, man. I feel like going and doing mindless fun...it's the least I can do, since I couldn't help you more...

[ Here, Hanna, have one Mouse still bundled up in bed, his platinum blond head peeking out just barely from a mountain of blankets and sheets. He looks like he's just woken up, if the sleepy way he blinks is any indication. The bits of his face that can be seen seem a lot better off than perhaps they should be, given how long ago he'd endured the beating. But despite his tiredness and the lack of visible mouth because of all of the blankets, Mouse's eyes seem to be smiling. He reaches out with a finger and taps the camera; his voice is muffled but there when he speaks: ]

Hanna. Helped plenty. Don't be dumb.

[Well, now he looks upset, because that was not what he wanted to do.]

[ The picture jostles as Mouse emerges from his cocoon of sheets, his expression still sleepy but now a little admonishing. Normally Mouse would probably chide Hanna openly and more playfully, but he's tired and only has so much brave face to go around. His voice is earnest either way, when he says: ]

Hannaaaaaaaaaa. [ Don't be upset, isn't spoken but is more than implied. Mouse smiles a little encouragingly at his device. ] Saw Dr. Chase. All patched up.

[ He nods. See? No need to worry. ]

[ Mouse goes to stick his tongue out at the thought of going back to bed now that he's finally up, but that quickly gets derailed when he goes to open his mouth and gets distracted by a good and proper yawn. He makes a couple loud gawping sounds -- much louder than he ever manages to talk normally -- and then allows himself to drop back into his bundle of blankets, holding the communicator device up over his head. ]

Already up up up. [ A pause as he gives a wiggle. Mmmmm, blankets. ] Ish.
