[Hanna wouldn't believe it at first that Sam had left the City. Every time somebody Hanna was close to, he couldn't believe it...and this time was no exception. It wasn't until he got Sam's letter that he finally believed it.

And, like every other time somebody Hanna cared about left, he reacts poorly.

He's gone off and gotten drunk, and is currently slumped over at the bar, about 5 empty beer bottles next to his head. Little Sam, who isn't exactly little anymore, is sitting down by Hanna's feet, whining in concern.]

I jus...I just can't believe he's gone...I don't understand, why him? Why now? Every time they leave it hurts, but this...an I'll probably never see him again...

Little Sam, what's the point in having friends when they leave? They all leave...I should've learned that by now...even Gallahad and Sam, they left.

[He sighs and the dog whines, licking at Hanna's hand, which makes Hanna laughs weakly, and smile sadly.]

Right, right, I guess I still got you. That counts for something...and I said I'd take real good care of you...

[Another sigh, and Hanna gets up, rubbing at his eyes.]

Let's go to the Underground, boy. Let's go get ourselves into trouble. It's what me and Sam would've done in this situation...
manofgnee: (-Wha--?-)
[Hanna doesn't usually just sit around and do nothing. Especially not lately, with everything that can go wrong going wrong, he's been busy. Trying to keep his various animals from escaping, trying to sleep, trying to ignore the ghost pains in his chest, trying to figure out what the hell is supposed to be happening...

And, then, of course, things get worse.

He's just sitting by the beach, staring out into the sea. He's a bit twitchier than normal, on edge.]

Things have changed. I can feel it, I know it, things are different, we can actually get out...

...I could try to go home. I could actually go home, I could see Gallahad and Worth and Conrad again...

What could have changed? What...and why...and...Wait. What are those.

[He blinks and stands up from where he was sitting as several Harpies fly closer. He immediately goes for his hammer and marker, drawing something out on his hand.]

...Well, shit.
manofgnee: (-Taints my blood-)
[Hanna checks his pockets, before nodding, letting out a cough that he shakes off quickly. He's managed to avoid the hospital up until this point, claiming that he's just sick. Partially, he is. This always happens after many big, bad spells...and it usually lasts longer in the City, since Worth isn't there to fix him up and treat him right.

Of course, he's more than just sick, but he does such a good job of deluding himself otherwise.]

Okay...present for Dean, flowers for Sam...I got everything I need, yep. Hope they don't mind me coming over...wouldn't blame Dean if he wanted to punch me a few times. I sort of deserve it...

[He sighs quietly, trying to shake off those feelings of self loathing and guilt. It doesn't really work, but he can fake it. Sam doesn't need to see that right now.]

Okay. Smile, Hanna. You smile long enough, you'll feel better. Let's go see the Winchester bros.

[He nods, smiling a little as he goes off, mumbling to himself that 'things will be okay', 'Sam doesn't hate you', and similar thoughts.

He manages to make it a little more than halfway there before he breaks out into another coughing fit, worse than the ones that had come before. True, he's suffering from bad magical side effects...but they're amplified by the internal injuries he sustained fighting Lucifer that he's refused to see a doctor over.]

...stupid...stupid magic...c'mon, we're almost there...

[He tries to fight through the coughing fit, but fails to, and he fumbles with his device, turning it off before he passes out.]

[ooc: Sam, I blame you completely for this. You encouraged me, and now look.

...I swear, this will be the last awful, non-plot related thing I do to Hanna for a while. Promise.]
manofgnee: (-Concentration (1000 cranes)-)
[It's late, well into the nighttime, when Hanna drops his communicator in the sands of the beach, accidentally turning it on.

Hanna is sitting by the ocean, sort of staring up at the moon for a bit, not really noticing that the tide is coming in a little bit, getting his feet and pants wet.]

Man, the beach is pretty...I know Jose hates the water, but I bet he'd still love this...

[After sitting and staring up in the sky for a while, Hanna pulls something out of his pocket and begins to work. He's brought paper with him, and is folding some paper cranes.]

Okay...I know I wanted to make a thousand for a wish...but I think that some of them can mean a little more than that.

[After folding 2 cranes, he stops for a second, getting out his marker and writing something on both of them. A closer view shows that they're names: 'Watanuki' and 'Doumeki'.]

One for every person I've ever been friends with here in the City...so even if they've gone, I won't forget them.

[Hanna smiles a bit more, but it seems sad...but of course, he keeps on working, folding cranes and writing names on them, starting with the friends that have already left the City before moving on to friends still here...

He only stops once, to wipe at his eyes and let out a watery laugh. No matter what he may say, the curses from over the weekend are still hurting him deeply.

But he'll never admit it. And after a small crying break, he resumes his folding and writing, making no move to leave the beach any time soon, no matter how dark or late it gets.]

Case 83

[Filtered from Roxas (and that creepy boss of his)]

So...okay, this weekend was sort of a major bummer. City, you gotta respect people's personal memories and boundaries better, okay? Making people upset like that...it's not right.

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody would know where I could get a watch. Oh, but it's not just any watch, it's this watch:

It doesn't have to look just like that, it could be bigger or smaller or even really abstractish, but it HAS to look like a heart.
It also has to pin onto the chest without any problem (or fit into a shirt pocket easily, or a jacket, or something like that), right where the heart is.

Also, it has to tick.

If it doesn't really tell time too well, it's okay, but it absolutely has to tick with regularity. The time telling is just sort of a bonus, even if it is a watch we're talking about here.

...okay, that got a bit too specific. But I really, really need a heart-watch like this...is there something like this in the City? Where is it? How much is it? I don't have a whole lotta cash, but...this is sort of important.

I have a friend that really needs this.

...also, where can I buy an industrial grade stapler? The kind that has those big staples like the ones in staple guns, but without the pain of actually shooting staples?
manofgnee: (-Absorbed (magic in progress)-)
[Hanna's sitting on the floor of his room, surrounded by large pieces of paper covered in runes. He looks a bit tired, and maybe just a bit sick, but it's a bit hard to tell, as he's hunched over a piece of paper, writing furiously and mumbling to himself.]

Ok...so if I can get this to work right, I should be able to talk to the attackers down at the graveyard....even if they are sort of brainless. Jeez, I know not all zombies are like Arnook, but...

[Hanna shrugs to himself before returning to his runes, scribbling for a few more minutes before sitting up and smiling proudly at his work.]

Ok!

Now...just need to test them.

[He moves to activate the runes when suddenly, the video is flooded with a flash of blinding light...when things come back into focus, Hanna is gone, the evidence of his experimentation left behind.]

[ooc: So, Hanna's going back home for 3 days, getting himself a nice canon update and some more pretty plot to work with. Meanwhile, I'm off to get eaten by mosquitoes, see ya'lls in 3 days!! :D

...Aw man...I'm gonna miss the vuvuzela curse. D: Oh well. Have fun with that!]
manofgnee: (Really now?)
A Citywide blackout, and the only things that really work are the comm devices...

[Hanna sighs. He sounds sort of nervous.]

I'm not one to be afraid of the dark, because usually the dark is cool and has many neat secrets in it, but today...I dunno. This isn't your regular ordinary darkness.

This is...advanced darkness. Complete with a topping of wrong and a side dish of freaky.

[Another sigh, and the sound of something flicking, like a switch.]

Thank goodness for flashlights and magic markers, though. I think I'd be screwed otherwise, the batteries in this thing died out about an hour ago...

Those statues, though...they're everywhere...

[What sounds like nervous baahing can be heard. It is now clear that Hanna has his pet sheep, Iznagi, with him.]

No, I know, Iznagi, they're freaky and oozing unhumanness. But I can't figure out if they're just possessed or alien...

...I turned my back on one for a moment earlier, and when I looked back, it moved closer. That's why Iznagi is here, so I've got another set of eyes.

They have to come from somewhere...

So what exactly do they do? And, more importantly, how do we get rid of them?

[Another baa noise can be heard, followed by an exasperated 'humph'.]

Yeah, yeah, I'll ask about the hammer.

Is it ok to try and smash them with a hammer, or will that just crank the badness up to 11?

[ooc: Probably should backdate this to a little earlier...also, responses will be slow or nonexistant for a little while, since I'm out of town for college things and don't have a reliable and consistent source of internet...D: Sorry!!]
