...So, today's another one of those curses, huh.

Well, I'm not falling for it this time, City. I may not be the brightest bulb in the bunch, but I know that's not really my Dad I'm hearing.

Yeah, it sounds like him. But it's not him. He's trying to pull the same stunt you did that last time...only, you got Dad all wrong.

My dad told great stories, and he was terrible at cooking, and his jokes were fun in a corny way. He liked comics and hated mowing the lawn, and even if I came home all hurt from bullies, he never pried or prodded, he just found ways to make me feel better.

What you're trying to pull...my dad was overprotective. He respected me, he loved me, he kept me safe...you...you're...

...You can't trick me again. No matter how much I wish it wasn't a trick.

[Hanna sighs. He sounds sad...he'd been trying to keep a determined front, like this wasn't bothering him, like the jeers and taunts the City is throwing at him in the voice of his father aren't getting to him...]


It's just words. Words can't hurt. They can't.

[Another small sigh, followed by a sniffling noise.]

...Yeah, Dad, I know. I love you too. But... But you're not here. This isn't you. I can't do what you want me to.

...No, it wouldn't change anything. Sorry.

[Hanna sniffles again, and it's clear that he's crying, at least a little bit. There's a long pause, before Hanna sighs, sounding defeated.]

Happy Father's Day to you too, Dad.

[At this point, he seems to realize his device is on, and clicks it off.]

Really? Neat!! I took over the shop after my friend Doumeki left, cuz I promised I'd look after it.

Yeah...but what I do is look into problems people have the paranormal...or problems the paranormal have themselves. Like if there's an unwanted vampire houseguest or a werewolf is having transformation problems or stuff like that.

Yeah! Well, the paranormal thing, anyway. The flower shop is new.

It sound exciting. My world doesn't have anything like that. [Except geass.] At least not that I know of.

Well, they're everywhere, but it's just little signs that they're not quite normal. But it's not always bad, though!

I was friends with a vampire here. She left a few months ago though. [Okay, it's a little random, but it is her biggest experience with the paranormal except for all the people with powers.]

My best friend is a zombie...and I've got a friend who is a vampire, and also there's a half selkie, but I only sorta know him.

A zombie? Like city!dead or like in the movies? [With the brain eating.]

I'm not familiar with selkies.

Like the movies, but he doesn't eat brains. And he's really smart!

Selkies are sort of like seals...but they can shed their coats to become people. But Veser is only half selkie.
