Now, I may not be Canadian, but I hold much respect for the country that gave us mounties and maple sugar candy. Also, they have an awesome flag. I mean, how many other countries could pull of having a leaf on their flag? None, that's who. Canada did it first and best.

So, to all my Canadian hombres out there, Happy Canada Day!

Which brings me to a related topic: The Fourth of July, aka America Day. I haven't done fireworks in forever since I think if I tried to do them at home, I'd blow something up. Or something uncool like that. But fireworks are cool, and they're tradition...

So I wanna do something with fireworks. A fireworks show...except I don't know where to get them. Any ideas? Are they even legal here? Cuz I know back home the legality of fireworks is different from state to state, but here, I don't even know...

Ah well. I'll figure it out!!

...Also, is it just me or is it sort of chilly today...?

Hey, Canada is all right! Again, you gave us maple syrup. And for that, we are eternally grateful.

How nice to know that our goodwill with our southern neighbours is founded entirely on the processed sap of our trees.

Well, when you put it like that, it sounds sort of dickish of us....

I am merely repeating what you yourself said first.

And yeah, it did sort of come out wrong. Canada is also known for hockey, and health care, and mounties...

And having a leaf on our flag?

You could've at least had the decency to call us your "Canadian amis". Not that it would've helped your case any, but it'd be one less black mark on your record.

I'm sorry!! I am! I know that not every Canadian is from Quebec, though, so they might not be happy with the french use...

Enthusiasm is neither a substitute for nor a reliable indicator of sincerity.

Would it be better if I went to the library and read up on Canada?

No.

By the way, congratulations on having both stars and stripes on your flag. A daring stylistic choice, to be sure.

<3 to you too!

...Our flag is sort of gaudy...nice, but gaudy...

...Should I keep apologizing?

I can hardly stop you. Though it is kind of a waste of time. Webster handles all the heartfelt sentiments around here, not me.

I will gladly accept an apology in the form of a pizza.
