Case 149 [Voice and Text]

I feel like...I dunno, I'm being watched.

's weird. First day out since I got sick, and by the way, I'm still recovering, and I feel like I'm being stalked...except there's nobody there! Not cool.

I'm probably being really paranoid. I dunno. I keep looking behind my shoulder, and the only thing I see is my shadow. So...guess I'm just freaked out about nothing, ri--

[Hanna stops talking, as if he's been interrupted.]

...what?

[Somebody is talking to him...and they're whispering in Hanna's ear, causing him to start quietly freaking out.]

Who's there? How do you know...come out and face me, you...whatever you are!

[The device is now typing out its message to Hanna. It wants the whole network to see what it's saying, to expose and hurt its host.]

Oh, you stupid shell of a human being...you ignore me, but I always follow you. You can't run from me, silly little child...I always follow you, just like eeverything else you can't run from...

You...you...you shut up! I...oh, I know what you are...and I know exactly how to get rid of you!!

[The device cuts off. Hanna is no longer speaking, and his shadow is no longer typing.]

What's that moving out the corner of your eye? Well it looks like it's just your shadow. But shadows shouldn't be moving should they?! Watch out because it seems like those dark silhouettes are coming to life and they have a bone to pick with their owners. They may not have tongues to speak with but they seem to know all the sordid details of your life and boy do they have things to "whisper" into your ear. Other citizens might not be able to hear these shadows, but their fingers are just as good at typing to the network too… or carrying an axe. Characters can hear only their own shadow. Shadows also can't go too far from their base owner and are rendered unanimated when there's no light source.
Shadow responses will be bolded, italicized, and text posts. It will only respond if dressed directly.]

I would love company, but if you feel being being around people during the curse, I can understand that. I got turned into a girl twice and I HAAATED being around people when that happened.

[About ten minutes later, there is a knock on Euphie's door.]

[There is a pause before the doorknob turns. She hadn't been expecting anyone, but her eyes widen when she sees him.]

Hanna?

[Euphie's new male body is dressed in Lelouch's clothes. She's wearing a white button down shirt with the top few buttons undone and dark gray slacks. The hair is still pink, but it falls just above the broad shoulders. She left it loose. She's also taller than before by a couple of inches.]

[He grins and waves a bit.]
