[December means snowmen!!

So that's exactly what Hanna's doing today, building a small army of snowmen outside his apartment building with his puppies.

Of course, he's looking a bit peakish, coughing every so often. He's still suffering from the magical side affects that come from fighting off vampires, even if that was only a few days ago...]

Okay, gang, we're gonna need to go find some sticks for arms...now, it's gonna be hard to find em, what with all the snow, so we're grouping up to g--

[He stops with a rather nasty violent cough, which goes for a minute too long to be considered normal. He wipes some blood away from his mouth when he's done, and he smiles at the puppies, who just look confused.]

Hehe, sorry gang. Okay, now let's go get some arms for the snowmen!

I have some excellent news. As of today, officially, I no longer have a broken foot. I am out of the cast and off of the crutches!! Good as new!

[Showing off, he turns on his camera and wiggles his newly healed foot, grinning and waving.]

Ta daaah!! No more crutches, I am officially back in business, woo!!

[He laughs a bit, grinning some more.]

I tell ya, its a real drag on the whole 'investigating' thing, going around on a crutch. Makes it really easy for people to catch you or hear you coming...ah well, all in the past.

I feel like celebrating, for some reason.

Hey, Mouse, I was wondering. I'm all in a celebrating mood today since I'm off the crutch, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come over and hang out? I've gotten some decorating done so far...

...buuut I don't have a tree yet. Wanna come with me to get a really good one? We can start decorating it after we get one too...

I just wanna make sure you're okay...The curse two days ago...I got really worried, man. I feel like going and doing mindless fun...it's the least I can do, since I couldn't help you more...

Ahhh, Christmas carols...I tell ya, they're great, they really.

I mean, I don't even mind listening to them for a whole day on end, they're just really great!!


....however, I do mind listening to that Avin and the Chipmunks song about 9 times in a row or so. THAT. That right there is irritating. City, if you're going to force people to listen to music, at least keep it diverse and play some classic stuff?

...Anyway. Christmas!! I love this holiday...But I haven't really done a whole lot for it in a while. So maybe I'm out of the loop...ah well.

Who wants to come over and help me get the apartment ready for Christmas? Sam, Euphie, I won't take no for an answer, since I've got sodaaaa~!


...and whoever decorated the rest of apartment building 12? You are brilliant. That is all.

[Today is Hanna's 25th birthday. It's also Thanksgiving. Usually, he doesn't celebrate either event, due to either forgetfulness or just general disinterest, but today, he's going to at least do a little something.

He bought himself cupcakes!! And he's walking through the center of the City, a small box of cupcakes under one arm and his crutch in the other. And he's whistling to himself.]

Da da dum dumm deee dee...happy birthday to me...la la de da dum duuum dooo...da da dum dum deee dum...

[Hanna grins before sighing and moving to sit down somewhere.]

Man...I never really thought of cupcakes being heavy before...losing an arm to use a crutch really makes carrying things around tough. Ah well.

[He grins again and cracks open the box, starting to eat a cupcake.]

[It's a bit odd for Hanna, not being home on the Day of the Dead. It messes up all his personal traditions...but he's fine with trying something new.

Hanna's tired, and he looks just a little sad, but he's still smiling as he goes through the graveyard. In one hand is a large bouquet of bright yellow marigolds, the other hand has a box filled with cookies. He tried to bake his own, but that really didn't work out.]

I hope they don't mind that I didn't make em...though, they probably would prefer store bought over my homemade monstrosities. Haha!

[Hanna laughs slightly, before he gets started, going over to a grave and sitting down in front of it. He pulls out a marigold and a few cookies, placing them on the grave. He stays at the grave for a few minutes, just talking to it, before he moves on to another grave, repeating the process.

It's the Day of the Dead. Even the dead of the City deserve something special...the dead don't all have names, or properly cared for headstones...or even names that Hanna knows. How long have they been here, who were they?

Well, regardless, they deserve something special, a little respect on a special day.]

...shoot, I hope I got enough cookies and flowers...shoot, I hope they like cookies...Maybe I should come here more often...it's sort of nice.

Hah, I wish Gallahad was here. I'd make it his best day ever! We could even pretend it was his birthday!

[He laughs again, before smiling slightly and turning back to the grave he's sitting at now, in the back of the graveyard.]

Hee, sorry. Went off on a bit of a tangent there...anyway, where were we?

[He goes back to talking to the grave, moving to another one after a few more minutes. This is his plan for the day.

After all, he can't visit the graves at home, so make do with what you got?]

So, I have some news.

Last night...or maybe early this morning, it's sort of hard to tell, but I guess it doesn't matter. Anyway.

Last night (I'm going with that one), the City had some new arrivals.

15 new arrivals, to be exact.

That's right!! The puppies are here!! There are 15 of them, though that last one took a lot longer in arriving than the other 14, so I was sort of worried...but they're all okay! They're really little, and not really that furry yet, but I know that's supposed to be normal, and they're all nursing, which is good too.
Lassie is doing really well, too. I think she's exhausted, since the last time I went to check up on her she looked like she was sleeping.

But I don't know if she is or not. It's sort of hard to tell. Can dogs still nurse while they're sleeping? Because the puppies are still eating...

It's so weird...I spent two days worrying about the puppies arriving, and about Lassie being okay...but it just sort of happened.
It went really smoothly, no problems...I woke up, heard a weird noise from the closet, and lo, it was happening!! I just made sure to have towels, scissors, food...the stuff you're supposed to have, you know.

Yeah, no problems...well, I guess I haven't gotten any sleep, but that's not really a problem for Lassie and the puppies, so.


I'll get pictures of them sooner or later, don't wanna disturb them or make Lassie snap. But they're reeeeallly cute!! They're so squirmy and little!!!

I need to name them. Well, not all of them, since I know people here who may want them in the future will probably wanna name them...but I can't just call them 'puppies 1 through 14', that's boring! And I've already got a few names in mind, so I'm gonna take any and all suggestions!


And the awesome part of all this, besides the whole puppy thing? Iznagi is taking all of this really well!! I was worried all this activity would freak him out, but he's been so mellow about the whole thing, really!!
I mean, yeah, he's been sleeping on my bed for over a week now since Lassie liked the living room (I think he was giving her space), and Lassie was on the couch until about 2 days ago, so I've been sleeping in the bathtub, but all things considered, everybody's been really happy with how things have been going over here!


...Man...I'm so tired, though...tubs should have waterproof pillows built in...

Man, what a bummer...the Fourth of July and its snowing. Never thought I'd end up saying that...

I mean, the snow was great when it started...and it still sort of is. Because snow is always awesome!! But yesterday was just bad...I tried to go outside but I got blown back in. So yeah, mega bummer there. What good is snow if you can't go play in it?

And then today it snows. I can't do fireworks in the snow...or a barbecue either!!

Man, this bites.

Spose I could do that when the snow clears up, but I've got a funny feeling that this is gonna be a big slushy mess...which means that fireworks or barbecues won't be plausible for a little while longer...

Aw, man...I was looking forward to hot dogs and explosives, too...ah well. At least I had a great snowball fight and built Captain Slush, the greatest snowman in the world!

Now, I may not be Canadian, but I hold much respect for the country that gave us mounties and maple sugar candy. Also, they have an awesome flag. I mean, how many other countries could pull of having a leaf on their flag? None, that's who. Canada did it first and best.

So, to all my Canadian hombres out there, Happy Canada Day!

Which brings me to a related topic: The Fourth of July, aka America Day. I haven't done fireworks in forever since I think if I tried to do them at home, I'd blow something up. Or something uncool like that. But fireworks are cool, and they're tradition...

So I wanna do something with fireworks. A fireworks show...except I don't know where to get them. Any ideas? Are they even legal here? Cuz I know back home the legality of fireworks is different from state to state, but here, I don't even know...

Ah well. I'll figure it out!!

...Also, is it just me or is it sort of chilly today...?

Sooo...yesterday, I woke up, tripped, and hit my head on the ceiling.

That's a new one, I gotta say...and then I got floated out the window and got stuck in a tree.


So, that was weird. Kind of cool, though!! It would've been like flying, except for the fact I couldn't control it and could only go up.


Still! Kind of awesome. Did anybody else have crazy flying adventures yesterday?
