Case 115

[A quiet voice, unsure and rather confused, starts talking. It sounds familiar...]

This place...I remember it. I had a dream that I got lost here once...it was like a nightmare, only not as bad...

[The voice is quiet for a minute.]

Hello...? Is there anybody out there...I think I'm lost again...I have to stop wandering off when I go out with Mom...

I swear, though, I saw a faerie, and I was gonna catch it and prove it to Mom...

Um, is the tall green guy that was nice to me last time? I don't have a balloon this time, but I sort of stand out, so maybe you'll recognize me...?

I wanna go home soon...

[ooc: The triumphant return of wee little Hanna! Still pre-unspecified life changing trauma, but still basically the exact same person in mini form. He's going to try to find {...}, who, of course, is no longer here.]

Case 102

Sigh. That last curse was a real doozy, I tell ya.

City, why do you feel like it's fun to make people talk about the awkward and or unhappy parts of their lives? It's not funny. It's not nice.

It's just plain cruel.

...You know. If the deities were affected by a curse, just once, just for one of the really bad ones, maybe they'd realize how dickish they were being about them. Make them take a taste of their own medicine.

...of course, they'll never do that. Oh well. Wistful thinking. I guess until that day comes, we can keep complaining, which at least allows for venting, yeah?

...oh. And Iznagi needs a shear job again...and since I botched his last one up so badly, I was hoping somebody could maybe help me? He's sort of got a sheep-fro right now, and it's adorable and the puppies like it, and I do too...
But I think his fuzz is starting to get in the way of his eyes, which is bad.

Either way, it'd make a nice sweater. I need a sweater. Not an Iznagi sweater, since that would a bit weird, but it's gettin cold out.

Case 101

manofgnee: (-Boring!-)
When I was a kid...there was this girl who lived next door. I remember she had this pet bird that she absolutely adored, and I always wanted to go and say hi to her...but I never did, cuz I guess I was too shy, or she was busy, or self esteem decided to go on a vacation or something.

's too bad. She seemed really nice...the only time I ever did talk to her was the day before she moved away. It was also the only time I ever got to see her pet bird up close...

Unfortunately, this was all because her bird had died, and she'd lost the key to his cage...it was so odd, the key had 'rest in piece' written on it already, but she'd kept that bird in that cage with that key before he died. Course, I didn't say anything cuz I was a stupid kid...

So I went and gave her back her key. And she said some really strange stuff...she started to apologize to me for something, and she said that she would pray for me when whatever it was ended up happening.

I just thought it was her being weird until I got bigger. Then I realized, hey, that was my first official paranormal encounter! Just wish I'd listened to her back then.

...Oh, and then when I was 8, I spilled hot chocolate on my favorite blanket while my parents were out. And I tried to wash it myself, and ended up shredding the blanket in the washing machine and dying everything else that was in there pink. That wasn't fun. The replacement blanket wasn't really the same...That ranks right up there with when I lost my special birthday balloon when I was 5. I named it something really silly...

Balloons were really big to me...but they were always sort of sad, finite things, an--wait, why am I talking about this?

Oh, lord, it's a curse.

I am going to attempt to shut up now.
