Case 115

[A quiet voice, unsure and rather confused, starts talking. It sounds familiar...]

This place...I remember it. I had a dream that I got lost here once...it was like a nightmare, only not as bad...

[The voice is quiet for a minute.]

Hello...? Is there anybody out there...I think I'm lost again...I have to stop wandering off when I go out with Mom...

I swear, though, I saw a faerie, and I was gonna catch it and prove it to Mom...

Um, is the tall green guy that was nice to me last time? I don't have a balloon this time, but I sort of stand out, so maybe you'll recognize me...?

I wanna go home soon...

[ooc: The triumphant return of wee little Hanna! Still pre-unspecified life changing trauma, but still basically the exact same person in mini form. He's going to try to find {...}, who, of course, is no longer here.]

Case 101

When I was a kid...there was this girl who lived next door. I remember she had this pet bird that she absolutely adored, and I always wanted to go and say hi to her...but I never did, cuz I guess I was too shy, or she was busy, or self esteem decided to go on a vacation or something.

's too bad. She seemed really nice...the only time I ever did talk to her was the day before she moved away. It was also the only time I ever got to see her pet bird up close...

Unfortunately, this was all because her bird had died, and she'd lost the key to his cage...it was so odd, the key had 'rest in piece' written on it already, but she'd kept that bird in that cage with that key before he died. Course, I didn't say anything cuz I was a stupid kid...

So I went and gave her back her key. And she said some really strange stuff...she started to apologize to me for something, and she said that she would pray for me when whatever it was ended up happening.

I just thought it was her being weird until I got bigger. Then I realized, hey, that was my first official paranormal encounter! Just wish I'd listened to her back then.

...Oh, and then when I was 8, I spilled hot chocolate on my favorite blanket while my parents were out. And I tried to wash it myself, and ended up shredding the blanket in the washing machine and dying everything else that was in there pink. That wasn't fun. The replacement blanket wasn't really the same...That ranks right up there with when I lost my special birthday balloon when I was 5. I named it something really silly...

Balloons were really big to me...but they were always sort of sad, finite things, an--wait, why am I talking about this?

Oh, lord, it's a curse.

I am going to attempt to shut up now.

Case 66

Ahhh...that was a great weekend. I forgot how liberating it is being a kid. Kids are awesome.

...gullible...but awesome. So, whoever was a talking cat over the weekend and tricked me into thinking they were an experiment gone wrong, and who basically told me to grow up and be the Spirit...you're a jerk. An awesome, awesome jerk.

...and for the record, I think I named every balloon I got until I was 9. And I still have no reason why. I also gave them faces. Don't judge me, I was an awesome kid.

Anyway. Thanks to everybody who put up with me when I was little again, and I hope I didn't cause any trouble...or miss anything too big or important.

Did I? I feel like I did.

Ah well.

[PRIVATE TO {...}//UNHACKABLE]

Hey, Thundarr...? I wanted to thank you for yesterday. Really, I think if it hadn't been for you, I might've drowned in the fountain or wandered off into the underground or something stupid like that...heh.

You know, you're really good with kids?

...Did I say anything too stupid or...well, personal stupid? While I was little, I mean. I'm worried I did...

Ah well. Oh, sorry for running off like I did yesterday. And you did a great job with the store too. Ha, Thundarr, you're just kicking butt at everything today!!

[Day two of Hanna being a small 7 year old boy. So far, he's actually come to like the City, even if he still misses his parents. But he's got some good stories to tell them now, and he can't forget them!

So, Hanna has decided to wander off to the park, forgetting to tell the zombie that's been looking after him since yesterday where he went.]

Wooow...this place is really big...I bet Mom and Dad would love it here...

[After some wandering around the park, picking some random flowers and weeds and stuff, Hanna eventually settles down and pulls out what appears to be a tiny sketchpad from his shirt pocket and a pencil.]

If they can't get here, then I'll just draw everything for them!!

[He nods, talking to himself about all the things he's gotta draw for his parents, forgetting that is would've probably been a good idea to tell his new zombie friend, Big Gallahad, where he was going.]

...Hm...I dunno how to spell giraffe...I know it's got a g, though.

[Hanna frowns in concentration, resuming his doodles and writing, ignoring everything around him. Oh, children.]

Case 64

[A small, slightly chubby redheaded child is standing outside of a flowershop, clutching an orange balloon as if it was his lifeline. He appears to be about 5 years old, maybe even a bit younger, but is in actuality 7. His glasses are missing, and he's a bit more freckly than he will be when he grows up, but even as a kid, he's still recognizable.

This is Hanna Cross, and he is lost.
One minute, he was with his mother in the park...and then he wandered off for a second and ended up in a strange place.

And he's scared.]

M...mu...Mommy...?

Mommy, where'd you go...?

[Hanna sniffles a bit, clutching his balloon tighter, rubbing at one of his eyes as he starts to cry.]

I du-dunno where I am...I w...wuhanna go hooome...

[Still crying and still very lost, Hanna runs off, scared, looking for his mom, before, in frustration, he returns to the front of the flower shop, kicking the wall before slumping down and crying into his knees.]

I want Mom...

[ooc: Hanna Cross, age 7!! He's a bit...healthier looking than he is as an adult, and remembers nothing of his time in the City or the people he knows as an adult. He can't do magic (at least not purposeful magic) and he can't investigate the paranormal, but he can still get into trouble. Since we don't know much about Hanna as a kid, I'm just gonna wing it as best as possible. Good luck, City, he's your problem now!!]
