You know, I remember when I was in middle school, we read this really, REALLY weird book...and there's this character in the book, the Duchess...and when we first see her, she's violently insane, which actually fits in with the whole weirdness of the book...


But then we see her again later, and she's got this brand new quirky character trait: she applies a moral to EVERYTHING. Even when it doesn't make any sense!! It's really funny, but it comes out of nowhere and it's sort of a weird personality whiplash...

So I guess the moral of this is: if you're gonna make big personality changes, ease into it gradually to prevent people from getting confused or thinking something is wrong. Don't wanna confuse your friends!

Oh, and Lassie's doing ok. She hasn't had the puppies yet, but I think they could come any day now...she's settled into this big shoebox in the closet, and she's only left there once or twice since she got in there...so I think she's gonna try to have the puppies in there, so I made sure to line it with towels while she left to go to the bathroom. Gotta be prepared!

I do wish they'd come soon, though...all this waiting is gonna drive me nuts!! But I guess I can't rush these things...that'd be really wrong if I could. I'm just so excited!! Eee, puppies...Maybe their arrival will make Lassie mellow out to me a bit more...she's been getting along with me lately!!! She doesn't bite me when I try to feed her anymore, but I'm worried she'll dislike me the minute the puppies arrive...

Ah well. I can't worry about it too much, right? It'll taint the whole puppy thing if I'm worried the whole time!!

The moral of this is: Tis better to be patient and enjoy the payoff than to rush things and potentially muck them up. That's really a lesson I should've gotten down by now, but hey. If at first you don't succeed, keep trying until you get the message and the lesson finally gets hammered into your skull.

I think I hate today's curse. I sound like a moron.
